Mixing the cleaner takes only a minute. Add the baking soda to the warm water first and stir until it dissolves, then pour in the vinegar. Expect a little fizzing, which is completely normal as the two react. Once it settles, stir in the dish soap gently to avoid creating too many suds, and finish with your chosen essential oil.
To clean, dip a mop or cloth into the mixture and wring it out well so it is damp rather than dripping. Work in sections across the floor, rinsing the mop as it picks up dirt. There is no need to rinse the floor afterward or buff it dry, since the solution is designed to dry to a clean, streak-free shine on its own. For heavier traffic areas or set-in marks, let the solution sit for a minute before wiping.
