Ectomorph, Mesomorph, or Endomorph: Find Your Body Type

A Simple At-Home Test

There is a quick, informal way to estimate your frame size at home. Wrap the thumb and middle finger of one hand around the wrist of your other hand and notice how they meet:

  • Ectomorph: your thumb and finger overlap easily, suggesting a smaller, narrow frame.
  • Mesomorph: the tips just touch without overlapping, suggesting a medium frame.
  • Endomorph: the fingers do not reach each other, suggesting a larger frame.

This is a rough guide, not a precise measurement, but it is a fun starting point for figuring out your general type.
